Visitor Procedures

At Webster Elementary, we encourage parents/guardians to visit classrooms and attend school functions.  Specific procedures have been established to facilitate a positive experience for visiting members of the community and the staff and students of our school. All visitors and volunteers must report to the office immediately upon arrival at the school and wear a visitor tag after checking in through our Raptor system. Please be sure to bring a government issued photo ID such as a driver's license, state ID or military ID in order to gain access to the building. When you arrive, we ask that you ring the bell and hold your identification close to the camera so that a member of the front office staff can verify it before granting access to the building.

Kindergarten Registration 2019-2020

Time to register for Kindergarten

%22Kindergarten Registration%22 Children's hand with paint and smiling faces on them

Webster Elementary is currently accepting registration for students entering Kindergarten for the school year 2019-20. Widefield School District 3 will be offering a full-day kindergarten program to all students.

We would like to encourage early registration so that we can plan for the next school year. Kindergarten Registration. Preschool students already in our district do not have to re-register for the next school year.

Red Flag & Inclimate Weather

  • Red Flag Days signifies school days where the temperature (including wind chill) is 25 degrees or lower.  To maintain consistency, each building shall use the KOAA weatherbug-Widefield High School site to make the determination. If the temperature is 25 degrees or lower, students will be brought inside for before school recess.  If you drive your student(s) to school on cold days, we encourage you to drop them off as close to the morning bell as possible. Please make sure students are sent to school with appropriate outerwear during winter as we will have outdoor recess when weather permits.

Red Flags will be displayed at the following locations:  the flagpole, the school marquee, and the small portable classrooms.

  •  All students will enter through the gym to go to their designated location.

ROARS & PBIS Matrix

What Does ROARS Stand For?

Webster is a PBIS school (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). This means that we teach, reinforce, and follow a small number of positively stated expectations known as our ROARS expectations (Respect, On-task, Aim for Excellence, Responsibility, Safety). The expectations are posted and taught throughout the school year by stating what we want students to do, rather than telling them what we do not want them to do. Teachers align their classroom rules, procedures, and expectations to the ROARS expectations, including levels of positive reinforcement as well as potential reteaching and consequences. At times, students who are not following expectations can be subject to school disciplinary action. The PBIS team has developed guidelines for disciplinary action regarding minor, repeated minor, and major behaviors to ensure a positive classroom and school climate is maintained. If you have any questions regarding the ROARS expectations or disciplinary guidelines, please contact the Assistant Principal.

At Webster we are respectful, on-task, have great attitudes, are responsible, and safe. A Webster Wildcat... ROARS

DISTRICT POLICY FOR SHARING PARTY FOOD

Colorful cupcakes with "Happy Birthday" candles on top

Party/Birthday Treats Parents/Guardians who wish to provide treats/snacks for students’ birthdays or for any other holiday must bring them in to the front office at least 24 hrs in advance so we can check for any allergies in the classroom.

All treats/snacks must be store bought and must include an ingredient label as well as a nutritional label showing zero trans fats as defined by Federal and State law. This district policy was created to ensure the safety of all students.

Thank you for your help in the matter.
