Counselor - Marie Ciarletta

Hello Webster families!

My name is Marie Ciarletta and I am the school counselor at Webster Elementary School! This will be my second year at Webster at I am SO excited to start the new school year!

To give a short background on me... I was born and raised about 45 minutes from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania... GO EAGLES. I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Alvernia University, and a Master's degree in K-12 School Counseling from Villanova University... GO NOVA. I moved to Colorado July of 2018 after I graduated from Villanova. My husband and I love being in the mountains, which is what brought us out to Colorado! My hobbies include hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, and art.

What I love most about the elementary level is the genuine curiosity students have in their learning and the world around them, as well as the opportunity for early intervention support that can have a lifetime positive impact on a child.

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote social/emotional development of ALL students. I look forward to offering support to the Webster students, staff, families, and community. During the school year, I will be meeting with students individually, conducting classroom guidance lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Webster students.

I am very excited to continue working with your students. I hope everyone has a great school year!

Growth Mindset!
-Growth mindset is a way of thinking to know we make mistakes in order to learn. "The Power of YET" is important during self-talk. For example, we much change "I can't do this..." to "I can't do this YET!"
