|Welcome to Webster Elementary!
Dear Webster Families,
Welcome to Webster Elementary, home of the Wildcats! It is my pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to you as we begin the 2013-2014 school year. I am looking forward to working with each of you! For those Webster families that have been at Webster, I look forward to continuing our partnership.
Our mission at Webster is to ensure achievement for every child, in every classroom, every day. Webster has an extremely gifted and dedicated faculty. Our work is collaborative and child centered. Our students learn in a variety of settings including whole group, small group, flexible reading groups as well as a variety of intervention groups. We also offer services for our gifted students. In addition to our academic programs we offer a variety of extracurricular activities for students including intramurals, choir and student leadership.
We encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s education. We also encourage you to become an active participant in our school. We have a wonderful PTO that you can get involved in as well as numerous events that highlight our students’ talents and successes. Volunteers are always welcome in our classrooms.
Please note that if you are new to our school, we will have an Assessment Day on August 9. We would like all new students in grades 1-5 to come for a 10 minute appointment so that we may complete their beginning of the year reading assessment in order to make thoughtful class placements that will allow us to meet the individual needs of all students. Please call the office on or after August 1 to schedule a time.
Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year! We look forward to partnering with you as we work toward another successful school year.
Mrs. Jennifer Bonds, Principal
